Our Story: A London Institution
Terry’s Cafe isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a piece of London history. We’ve been serving up honest, traditional British fare from this very spot since 1982, when it was founded by Terry. Now run by his son, Austin, we remain a proud, family-run business dedicated to the original ethos: home cooking at its best in a warm, welcoming environment.
In an area increasingly saturated with chains and quick fixes, we stand as a genuine diamond in the rough—a place where quality, value, and friendly service always come first.
OUR ETHOS: Honest Food, Quality Ingredients
“If you’re looking for a Michelin-star rated restaurant, you’re in the wrong place.”
That’s always been our motto. What you will find is simply great food made with top-quality ingredients. We focus on local suppliers and family recipes that have stood the test of time.
We proudly source our daily bread, coffee, and produce from London’s finest, including Monmouth coffee, St John Bakery and Davies Bakery in neighbouring Bermondsey.
A British Affair: From the classic fry-up to our award-winning sandwiches, our menu celebrates the rich tradition of unpretentious, good-value British food.
INTRODUCING: THE NEW Terry’s Bar & Grill
The Terry’s legacy continues to grow! We’re thrilled to have expanded the cafe into the space next door, knocking through to create the stylish Terry’s Bar & Grill. This new addition gives us even more room to host you and offers another dedicated spot to enjoy our curated selection of craft beers, fine wines, and classic cocktails.
While the cafe maintains its traditional opening hours, Terry’s Bar & Grill is designed for the evening crowd. Soon, we’ll be open later so you can enjoy a drink after a long day.
